Assignment#7: Because of you

凱莉克萊森
Because Of You
Music:Ben Moody/David Hodges/Kelly Clarkson
I will not make
The same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break
The way you did, you fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you I am afraid
I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh, every day of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with
I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

This is one of my favorite English song. In fact, I do not often listen to English songs.
I often sing this song, but every time I sing the wrong lyrics.
Every time when a friend asked me why? I'll start singing because of you ........
Now read the lyrics again, and with songfact, a better understanding of the true meaning of this song.
The following  paragraph are my favorite part:
  Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
  Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
  Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you I am afraid

I only road singing sounds good, but is also exploring the true meaning of which to express.

Reflection about "Steve Jobs' 2005 Stanford Commencement Address"

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

This impressed me very deeply, the recent midterm is over, I really feel that time is very limited, and I do not know how to take the time, but has been living in regrets.

“ you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”

Today, Administrative law exams, I very read hard, but score similar with other students, I use the application on the way to answer, others with short answer. Honestly I was very upset, but when I listening this Paragraph, I know this experience will be a “connect the dots in my future”.

A REAL MAN

吸毒一→坐牢一 In April 1996, Downey was arrested(逮捕) for possession(藏有) of heroin, cocaine(古柯鹼) and an unloaded.357 Magnum handgun(.357馬格南手槍) while he was speeding down Sunset Boulevard(日落大道). A month later, while on parole(假釋), he trespassed(擅自闖入) into a neighbor's home while under the influence of a controlled substance and fell asleep in one of the beds. He was sentenced to(判處) three years of probation(緩刑) and required to undergo compulsory drug testing(經過強制毒品測試). In 1997, he missed one of the court-ordered(法院判決的) drug tests and had to spend four months in the Los Angeles County jail.
吸毒二→坐牢二After Downey missed another required drug test(藥物檢察) in 1999, he was arrested once more. Despite Downey's lawyer, John Stewart Holden, assembling for his client's 1999 defense the same team of lawyers that successfully defended O.J. Simpson during his criminal trial for murder(對於刑事審判中的謀殺罪), Downey was sentenced to(判處) a three-year prison term at the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran, California (a.k.a. "Corcoran II"). At the time of the 1999 arrest, all of Downey's film projects had wrapped and were close to release, with the exception of In Dreams(超異能夢魘), which he was allowed to complete filming(他被允許完成拍攝). He had also been hired for voicing "The Devil" on the NBC animated television series God, the Devil and Bob, but was fired when he failed to show up for rehearsals(當在彩排時他並未出現).
復出After five years of substance abuse(藥物濫用), arrests(逮捕), rehab(康復/戒毒), and relapse(舊疾復發), Robert Downey Jr. was finally ready to work toward a full recovery from drugs and a return to his career. In discussing his failed attempts to control his own addictive behavior(成癮行為) in the past, Downey told Oprah Winfrey in November 2004 that "when someone says, 'I really wonder if maybe I should go to rehab?' Well, uh, you're a wreck(變得極瘦弱的人), you just lost your job, and your wife left you. Uh, you might want to give it a shot." He added that after his last arrest in April 2001, when he knew he would likely be facing another stint(限制) in prison or another form of incarceration(監禁) such as court-ordered rehab, "I said, 'You know what? I don't think I can continue doing this.' And I reached out for help(我設法尋求協助), and I ran with it. You can reach out for help in kind of a half-assed way and you'll get it and you won't take advantage of it. It's not that difficult to overcome these seemingly ghastly problems(這些看似可怕的問題)...what's hard is to decide(下定決心) to do it."
鋼鐵人圖片那頁With all of the critical success Downey had experienced throughout his career, he had never appeared in a "blockbuster" film. That changed in the middle of 2008 when Downey starred in two critically and commercially successful films, Iron Manand Tropic Thunder.
Iron Man(簡單介紹)
In 2007, Downey was cast as the title character in the film Iron Man, with director Jon Favreau explaining the choice by stating: "Downey wasn't the most obvious choice, but he understood what makes the character tick. He found a lot of his own life experience in 'Tony Stark'." Favreau insisted on having Downey as he repeatedly claimed that Downey would be to Iron Man what Johnny Depp is to the Pirates of the Caribbean series, a lead actor that could both elevate(提升) the quality of the film and increase the public's interest in it. For the role Downey had to gain more than 20 pounds of muscle in five months to look like he "had the power to forge iron."

結論 Life has a lot of addictions like smoking, alcoholism, addiction cards, collectibles addiction, shopping addiction, etc... If you want to get rid of any kinds of addiction, are quite difficult, especially drug addiction. Recently, many popular movie stars, singers, celebrities are died of the addiction of drug, due to its huge drug addiction. These news bring people many pain and vigilance. To successfully get rid of drug addiction is really needing something like Iron Man's determination and perseverance.
